                <ab xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0"><lb n="1"/>ἔδοξε τᾶι βουλᾶι καὶ τῶι<lb n="2"/>δάμωι, Πολύαρχος Στασί–<lb n="3"/>λα εἶπε· Χαρίαν Ἀριστοκρά–<lb n="4"/>τευς Ἀθηναῖον πρόξενον<lb n="5"/>ἦμεν τᾶς πόλιος τᾶς Κώι–<lb n="6"/>ων καὶ εὐεργέταν καὶ αὐ–<lb n="7"/>τὸν καὶ ἐκγόνος, ἦμεν δὲ<lb n="8"/>αὐτοῖς ἔσπλουν καὶ ἔκ–<lb n="9"/>πλουν καὶ ἐμ πολέμωι καὶ<lb n="10"/>ἐν εἰράναι ἀσυλεὶ καὶ ἀσπον–<lb n="11"/>δεὶ καὶ αὐτοῖς καὶ χρήμασι.</ab>

Stasi-<lb n="3"/>las stellte den Antrag: dass Charias S.d. Aristokra-<lb n="4"/>tes aus Athen <hi rend="italic">proxenos</hi><lb n="5"/>der Stadt der Koer<lb n="6"/>und Wohltäter sei, er<lb n="7"/>und seine Nachkommen; dass ihnen<lb n="8"/>sein sollen freie Ein- und Aus-<lb n="9"/>fahrt im Krieg und<lb n="10"/>im Frieden ungestört und ohne<lb n="11"/>Vertrag, für sie und ihr Vermögen.</ab></div><div type="translation" xml:lang="EN" resp="Kent Rigsby"><ab xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0"><lb n="1"/>It was decreed by the council and<lb n="2"/>people, Polyarchos son of Stasi-<lb n="3"/>las proposed: Charias son of Aristokra-<lb n="4"/>tes, from Athens, is to be a <hi rend="italic">proxenos</hi><lb n="5"/>of the city of the Koans<lb n="6"/>and a benefactor, both him-<lb n="7"/>self and his descendants; they are to have<lb n="8"/>free import and ex-<lb n="9"/>port in both war and<lb n="10"/>peace exempt from seizure and without treaty<lb n="11"/>for both themselves and their goods.</ab></div>
